Tonight’s meal (as eaten by Chow and Chicken) was a complete oxymoron - veggies with deep-fried hake. Healthy and not so healthy (understatement) on one plate. Although – kudos to us – we were complimented on our overall healthy choice by a person who shall not be named.
It was either that or the pork/bredie – we’ll pass, thank you very much. It’s been detected by one of the duo that all the food starts to taste the same after a while. Once again, the golden rule of Sechaba food; Never, ever question the origin of your food! You might find out something that you didn’t want to…
We mourn the tragedy of the absence of sweet chilli sauce, and remember with sincerity how it used to brighten up our days and spice up our plates. RIP, dear Chilli. We hope you come back soon.

Early morning starts are miserable in this weather. Early Monday mornings are even worse! But, Chow and Chicken had places to be and venturing out was unavoidable.
Chicken took a detour via the dining hall to get some feed. The hot options didn’t really jump out at me (it would be scary if they did). And also, is it immoral for chickens eat to eggs? Thus, it was porridge to warm me up from the feathers inward!
After spotting some strange green object in a fellow-eater’s eggs, I figured it was probably for the best!
Porridge, yoghurt, and a meal voucher. That’s what I ate today. Oh, no, wait. I didn’t eat the meal voucher. Not sucha fan of those types of greens hey!
It was an early start for C & C this morning.
