Bean There, Done That

This morning’s breakfast really let the side down. Sundays are usually the best breakfasts of the week. Not today.

Let’s just say that the beans had lots of flavour. I still have the aftertaste in my mouth – this could take a while to get rid of. Chow suggests putting a “Hazardous” sign next to the bean dish. We hope this urgent message reaches you before you go to breakfast: Do not, we repeat, do not eat the beans!

Admittedly, people have different tastes in egg, but we are not sure that ‘bouncy’ is one of them. But hey – with enough tomato sauce, anything is palatable… Even to Chow and Chicken.

Same story with the bacon. We are on neutral ground here – not chicken or cow! Good thing too, coz that would be an insult to chickenhood and cowkind. Perhaps the menu should read Fat-Strips-with-the-Bacon-Cut-Off. Cholesterol kick for the day… until lunch!!

    The beans were gross. And wasn’t the tomato supposed to be grilled/ Yeah i know i’ve alwyas been after sliced tomato – not jsut tomato chunks – but it’s a bit insipid with breakfast. Raw…

    I guess it’s a good thing that I slept through breakfast today. I never take the beans option even though beans, beans, the magical fruit, the more you eat, the more you toot. the more you toot, the better you feel, so let’s have beans for every meal ._.’;

    postscript: don’t take the meat-loaf.
