An Apple A Day…

Neither Chow nor Chicken will be gracing the dining hall with their presence at lunch today.

Instead, we applied for luminous-green-fortification-and-beverage-redeemable-sheets-of-flattened-wood-pulp, otherwise known as meal vouchers. Chicken presented it for sandwiches and some apples.

Which lead me to remember the saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. As someone once put it, imagine what you could do with a bag of apples and the doctor’s wife… =)

News Headlines

Good morning, and welcome to BCC News. Your top stories for today:

Chow made it to breakfast on time, and indulged in a flapjack. However, we have concluded that the earlier you go, the less syrup you get. Sorry, Chow. Maybe next time

Next up: Sechaba has the most amazing spelling mistakes on their menus. How many people have been confused by ‘Welsh Rabbit‘ (It should be rarebit)? Today’s typo was the most classic: Apparently we’re having SICKY CHICKEN for supper! How unfortunate, but how true… It’s about time they realised that we are sick of chicken!

There has been an outbreak of Mad Cow disease in our area. Experts are saying that this is due to the amount of syrup consumed by Moo at breakfast. Typical symptoms include flying up the stairs, giggling hysterically, and doing the Funky Chicken dance move around the room.

Breaking news just in: Chow has reminded me that this is the last Monday of the semester. Woohoo! Woo-moo!

This is BCC News. Over and out

Suspense…

Will Moo make it to breakfast in time this morning? As we speak, there is a frantic dash to get everything ready by 08h00. But will the promise of flapjacks lure Super-Moo to the dining hall, despite the clock ticking away? We wait in suspense…
